Rebuild Yourself Inc. Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Rebuild Yourself Inc. ("RYI," "we," "us," or "our") website, digital services, and program portals (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old or have parental/guardian permission to participate in programs or submit personal information. Volunteers may be subject to additional age requirements and background checks.
When registering minors for programs, parents/guardians confirm they have the authority to provide required information and consent to participation.

2. Program Participation

Program schedules, facilitators, and offerings may change. We will provide reasonable notice of changes affecting registered participants.
Participants must comply with community guidelines: respect confidentiality, uphold inclusive behavior, avoid harassment or harmful conduct.
RYI may discontinue or modify programs at any time for operational or safety reasons.

3. Accounts and Security

Some areas of the Services may require account creation or form submission. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any login credentials and for all activities under your account.
Notify us immediately at support@rebuildyourself.org if you suspect unauthorized access or security issues.

4. Donations and Payments

Donations are processed through third-party payment processors via our Donorbox-powered donation flow. By donating, you agree to Donorbox’s (and its processors’) terms and privacy policies. RYI does not process card payments directly on this website.
Recurring donations continue until you modify or cancel them via the provided management tools or by contacting us.
RYI is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit; consult a tax advisor regarding deductibility. Receipts will be issued via email.

5. Intellectual Property

Site content, graphics, logos, and program materials are owned by RYI or used with permission.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify content without written consent, except for personal, non-commercial use that preserves proprietary notices.
Participants retain ownership of their stories, testimonials, and images but grant RYI a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use submitted materials for agreed purposes upon providing consent.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Misuse or disrupt the Services (e.g., introducing malware, attempting unauthorized access, scraping data).
Harass, abuse, or harm other community members.
Share confidential program information or personal data of other participants without consent.
Use the Services for commercial solicitation, political campaigning, or activities unrelated to RYI’s mission without authorization.

7. Third-Party Services

Our Services may link to or integrate with third-party tools currently used by the website, including:

Supabase for existing website form storage
Convex for the adult app-interest list and consent-gated app-funnel analytics
Donorbox for online donations
Resend for operational email notifications when configured
Eventbrite for event links and API-backed listings when configured
Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel when measurement IDs are configured and after analytics consent
Website hosting providers and social media platforms linked from the site

RYI is not responsible for third-party content or practices. Review their terms and privacy policies before engaging.

8. Disclaimers

Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
RYI strives to maintain accurate information but does not warrant completeness or reliability of content.
Support provided through programs is not a substitute for medical, legal, or psychological advice. Always consult qualified professionals for advice tailored to your situation.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RYI, its directors, staff, volunteers, and partners are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services.
Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) $100 or (b) the amount you paid to RYI for Services in the 6 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RYI and its affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Services, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Services at any time if you breach these Terms or engage in conduct that harms the community. Upon termination, Sections 5–12 will continue to apply.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect operational or legal changes. We will post the updated Terms with a revised effective date and notify users of material changes. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiations. If unresolved, disputes may be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Florida.
